Booking & courtesy car

Booking the car in, courtesy cars, and how the day works.

1 answers

Do you offer a courtesy car?

Available on request — call ahead and we'll try to fit you in. Most servicing and MOT work is same-day, so a courtesy car often isn't needed — you're welcome to wait in reception if it's a quick job.

Services we offer

What we work on, the kind of jobs we take, and where to start.

3 answers

What makes and models do you work on?

All of them. European, Japanese, American, performance and everyday — we have diagnostic kit and parts access for the lot. From a daily city car to a classic on a tuning build, it's the same workshop, the same standards.

Can you tune my car?

Yes — from high-lift cams and full engine modifications to suspension tweaks and fuel-economy work. Bring it in and we'll discuss what's realistic for the engine, the budget and how you actually use the car. No chasing dyno-sheet numbers that don't translate to the road.

My warning light keeps coming back — can you actually fix it?

We approach intermittent faults the way they need to be approached: trace the cause, not just clear the code. That can mean multi-marque diagnostic scanning, multimeter circuit tracing or oscilloscope work — whatever the fault actually needs to be found and properly fixed.

MOT testing

MOT booking, what's tested, and what happens after a fail.

How do I book an MOT?

Call 01908 375 773 or use the contact form. Same-week slots are usually available; combine the MOT with a service to save a second visit. You can book up to one month before your current MOT expires without losing days on the new certificate.

What happens if my car fails the MOT?

You get an itemised fail report explaining each fault, and a quote for the remedial work. Nothing is started without your sign-off. If we can complete the repair the same day we will, and we'll re-test free of charge once the work is done (within ten working days).

Prices & quotes

How quotes are built, agreed prices, and where the MOT fee is set.

2 answers

How does pricing work?

We diagnose first, then quote you for the work — nothing starts until you have approved the price. Call 01908 375 773 for a quote on your car. No surprises on the invoice, no creeping extras.

Do you quote before starting work?

Always. Nothing is touched until you've approved the price — that's a hard rule and the reason we have so many repeat customers. If we find something else while we're in there, we stop and call you before doing anything that isn't on the original quote.

Warranty & guarantees

Parts-and-labour cover, how long, and what's on the invoice.

1 answers

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes — parts and labour are both covered. Specific warranty periods depend on the part (most are 12 months, some manufacturer parts are longer); we'll write the cover on the invoice so there's no ambiguity about what's guaranteed and for how long.

On the day

Payment, finding us, opening hours and the small print.

3 answers

How long will my car be in for?

An MOT takes around an hour. A full service and MOT together is usually a morning. Major repairs depend on the job — but you'll always get an honest time estimate when we quote, and we'll call as soon as the car's ready to collect.

How do I pay?

Cash, debit/credit card or bank transfer — whichever suits. Payment is taken when you collect the car, never up front. We'll call you the moment it's ready and have the invoice itemised so you can see exactly what you're paying for.

Where are you and how do I find you?

Unit 1 Grove Ash, Mount Farm Industrial Estate, Milton Keynes MK1 1BZ. We're a short drive from the A5 and just off the V11 (Tongwell Street) — easy reach from anywhere in MK, north Bucks or south Beds. Parking on site.

Still wondering?

Easiest answer is usually a quick call.

Julian or one of the team picks up the phone most days. Ask anything — even if it's just a sanity check before you commit.

MOT due? Book this week.

Same-week slots usually available. Fixed-price testing, honest quote for any remedial work. No fuss.
